The other eclipse, due September 21-22, will be a new moon solar eclipse in Virgo, 29 degrees, and it will urge you to travel closer to home. As you see, you have options. The ninth and third houses lit up by these eclipses are both intellectual in nature, and they have other benefits and implications aside from travel, so let’s look closer.
The September 7 full moon is a lunar eclipse, and that means it’s a very powerful full moon. Something is coming to fruition or conclusion. With eclipses, often something ends, and something else begins. This one will appear in your ninth house, which rules international travel, global trade, and immigration matters including visas, citizenship, residency, and passports. It also rules your pursuit of higher education and the communicative media industries of publishing and broadcasting. Legal matters are also found in this house, for in a court, concepts are debated vigorously to get to the truth. As you see, the ninth house is the part of your chart where you take in advanced information and may choose to share this specialized information through teaching at the university level or working in the media.
This is also a house that often requires quite a bit of preparation to go after goals. If you hope to take an overseas trip, you are likely to research the hotels, flights, and special features of the location you’re going to visit. You might prepare by reading up on the art, architecture, and even literature of the culture you are about to experience. You may learn some of the language and how the currency compares to yours so that when you make purchases you know how much you’re spending. If you’re thinking of going back to school, there are tests to take, interviews to master, and finances to consider. During this full moon, it seems that the preparation period is over, and you are moving into action.
