Your Horoscope for Taurus
by Susan Miller
Whether you are helping a family member, moving, or doing a remodel or refresh of your home (or other property), it can be expensive. However, this month Uranus, now in your second house of earned income, will bring the right kind of surprises in connection with your income. You may get an unexpected influx of cash that would help you with your home-related plans. Meanwhile, powerhouse Pluto is in fine, supportive angle to Uranus, thereby giving Uranus more ability to help you realize your family-related dreams.
It is true that Pluto is not always an angel, and he was in direct opposition to the Sun and new moon on July 24, whose influence extends for the next five months but is especially strong for about 10 days after it appears. If you have felt lately that someone important to you was “managing” the relationship by nearly forcing you to accept terms or conditions, that’s Pluto speaking. (Yes, Pluto can be both helpful and maddening at the same time. In this case Pluto is being a buddy to Uranus, bolstering your income, but is also opposed the Sun and new moon.) It may be that you are tied up with making plans and decisions for your family or home, but your boss won’t want to hear about your busy life and will be extra demanding for you to keep up with your responsibilities on the job. As a Taurus, you are practical and realistic and will see the need to keep your tyrannical boss or client happy. You will have to be a master juggler, but you can do it.
Now let’s turn to what else is going on in August. Last month Mercury began to go retrograde in Leo on July 18, and that likely interfered with your home and family plans. If you had a number of do-overs—more back-tracking than normal, and changing your mind on one or two of the choices you made, that sounds right. Mercury retrograde forces us to rethink our plans but often pushes us toward a better resolution. Mercury will go direct in Leo on August 10.
You have an outstanding chart for your career. A golden triangle will link fame and honors, salary and work assignments—you cannot wish for anything better than that.
