Your Horoscope for Virgo
by Susan Miller
I love this full moon of August 9, yet remarkably, it will be stronger on August 8, the day before it peaks. Focus on Friday, August 8, for the moon will be temporarily “void” on the day it peaks on Saturday, August 9, for a whopping 23 hours (from 3:54 AM EDT New York time all the way until 2:50 AM EDT on Sunday, August 10). That is an unusually long time for a moon to be void, and it’s important to know about it. Why? I will tell you.
It is best never to initiate an action when a moon is void. The moon being void means she is “sleeping” and not communicating with other planets, so nothing much will come of your meeting or new venture. That’s why Friday, August 8, as the full moon is getting close to its peak, will likely be your best day. After that, the full moon peaks and then begins to deflate. It will gradually weaken, taking several days for its influence to dissipate. Wednesday, August 13, is the last day that the full moon has influence, so at some point from August 8 to August 13 the full moon will deliver its message about a project you’re finishing up. Money and professional recognition may follow.
You can find out if a moon is void in your location by using my app “Moonlight Phases by Susan Miller,” which you can find on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. It costs $7.99 USD and is a one-time purchase (not a subscription). My app lists the status of the moon every day of every year through 2050. I built GPS into the app, so no matter where you live on the planet, it will give you accurate information. If you’re traveling, GPS will follow you and still give you precise timing. No need to enter the name of the city or town you’re based in or visiting—GPS will automatically know where you are.
Professional astrologers have always looked into whether a moon is void or not when researching a promising date to launch an important initiative. It was always a terribly cumbersome process to do this on the Internet. I made it simple (even cute!) so you can have fun tracking the moon. The app also shows you where the moon is on any given day (by that I mean what sign the moon is in). Soon you will notice which moon sign placements work out to be good days for you.
