Your Horoscope for Virgo
by Susan Miller
August 22 will bring the first of two new moons in a row in Virgo (the second one will be a friendly new moon solar eclipse next month on September 21). This is a rare event. We almost never see two new moons in a row in the same sign, and when we do, they are rarely in Virgo. This month, those born on or within five days of August 22 will benefit from opportunities that spring forth in the days that follow.
Uranus will challenge the August 22 new moon from your tenth house of professional recognition and advancement. It looks as though this new moon will focus on your career, but it probably won’t bring the news you’ll want to hear. News will come out of left field. Don’t travel at this time because you will need to decide what to do with the news you receive. It may be best to surround yourself with people you trust to figure out how to move forward.
At the August 22 new moon, your excellent work on an important project (likely focused on the digital, scientific, or humanitarian realm) will protect you, thanks to Pluto. If you’re interviewing for a job, Mars will challenge Jupiter, so you may feel that the salary being offered is not enough to tempt you—keep looking. If you like the job but feel the salary is too low, continue to negotiate for a better offer. It will be worth the effort.
Venus and Jupiter are planning a rendezvous on August 12, which will surely be a high point of the month for your social life. This is a night for enchantment, fun, luxury, beauty, friendship, and gatherings. Venus and Jupiter will both be in water-sign Cancer, and the transiting moon will be in Pisces—perfect placements to help you weave a beautiful memory. Plan something special, and treat yourself to a night of wonder and warmth.
