Your Horoscope for Cancer
by Susan Miller
Astrologers have to look at the entire sky and weigh all the aspects taking place at the same time. August 8 shines more brightly than a perfectly cut diamond sparkling in the Sun. I very rarely go against an astrological axiom such as “never do anything important with Mercury retrograde,” but a stellar aspect like this one that will not likely ever happen again made me think twice and recommend it.
Now let’s turn to another topic, for we have a new moon on August 22 in Virgo, 0 degrees, lighting your third house of quick, short-distance travel. This will be the first of two new moons in a row in Virgo, which is rare. Furthermore, next month’s new moon in Virgo will also be a solar eclipse in Virgo, 29 degrees, falling in the same third house of your chart as the new moon this month.
Eclipses bring special importance to events, and fortunately, the one in September is friendly. Next month we will also have an earlier eclipse on September 7, a full moon lunar eclipse in Pisces, 15 degrees, which will light your ninth house and reemphasize foreign people and international relationships, travel, higher education, broadcasting and publishing, and legal matters.
Shortly after this month’s new moon in Virgo on August 22, you may be signing a contract, as the third house rules agreements, as well as all types of communication-oriented events. You may be writing an important report, starting work on a book, designing a piece of software, writing lyrics for a song, designing a game or an app, starting a podcast series, beginning work on an A.I. project, or developing a marketing, advertising, or publicity campaign. If you are an editor, producer, translator, or researcher, you maybe editing an important project.
You may also hatch a plan with your sister—to buy a house together, start a business, or to do something simpler, like arrange a party for your parents’ anniversary or take a trip together.
